Learn how to link to a file download using the Text Element. Enable site visitors to download images, documents, spreadsheets and more.

Webydo supports the following filetypes: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, RTF, TXT, PDF, EPS, PSD, AI, ZIP, RAR & SIT. Note that file's maximum weight is 4MB.

The Link to: File option is only available for the Text Element.
(see bottom of article for help linking to other elements)

1. Within the text-box, mark the text you would like to link and click the Link icon on the top menu. 

2. Select the File option from the dropdown menu in the Link To field. 

3. Choose and Upload File, define the link style and click Save to exit.

4. When leaving the Style option as Default, your text will look like this

To change it, double click on your link to re-open the Link Properties window. And using the Style dropdown choose your desired paragraph style. 

How to link to file from another element

The option for link to file is only available via the text element, however there is a way around this. When using the Text Element once your file us uploaded a new URL is generated. Use this as your link with any other element!

1. Within the text-box, mark the text you would like to link and click the Link icon on the top menu.

2. Select the File option from the dropdown menu in the Link To field. 

3. Choose and Upload your File
4. Copy the URL generated for your file link
5. Use this URL for any other element to link
