You can use the Design or Properties Panels to edit the color of your element. 

(This depends on the settings you are trying to change)

Click the circular color icon to open the color window and choose your new color. 

For example, to change the color of a shape:

1. Select your shape

2. Open the Design Panel

3. In the fill section, click on the color icon:
